The project Flowers for Slovakia was established in 2009 and directed to deepening the practical skills especially those of the Slovak students of design. After the first project (or collection), ‘Handle with Care’, whose theme was Slovak fairy tales and stories and their transformation into glass objects, the association of Flowers for Slovakia in cooperation with the company Vitra, implemented in 2013 another collection called Lost & Found.
The project had again the structure of a workshop whose assignment was the design of furniture and interior elements that integrate themes of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. The intention was to correlate authentic pieces of Slovak folk furniture and traditional working tools/aids with the products of the well-known furniture producing company, Vitra.
