The Museum of Folk Art Production (MĽUV) in Stupava (Malacky district) was established in December 2008. In the past, before the founding of the Museum of Folk Art Production, the current collection of traditional clothing belonged to ÚĽUV’s documentary collection and served as a source of inspiration for making folk costumes. All systematically collected materials were gradually integrated into the museum’s collection and documentation fund. The documentary material from the area of traditional clothing is particularly unique. MĽUV is the only museum of its kind in Slovakia to house artefacts from various sites in Slovakia: materials, patterns, pattern-books and various items of clothing.
