Pavel Bielčik while growing up in an isolated settlement in Kokava nad Rimavicou (Poltár district) discovered the beauty of singing and the tones of the flute or mouth accordion as a child; he came to the fujara during his military service. This encounter was so intense that he was incapable of resisting its call. And this remains the case even today. Although he celebrated his eightieth birthday last year, he is still an active producer. As he says, he has been making flutes and fujara with love for the instruments and for the culture which gave birth to them all his life. And he would be happy if this approach of the old masters were not forgotten by the next generation of producers.
