The bird, whose properties have long appeared to human kind as something exceptional and supernatural, occurs quite frequently as one of the zoomorphic ornamental motifs in traditional decorative art. We can find it on embroidery, on wooden items, on wall paintings and decorated eggs and on pottery. The motif of the bird was the inspiration behind the logo which ÚĽUV has been using, in different versions, since the beginning of the 1950s.
