Textile art is an exhibition competition of amateur art with nationwide coverage. It is held every two years and is organised by the Pohronie Cultural Centre (POS) in Žiar nad Hronom. The exhibition is for non-professional artists inspired by traditional textile art and craft techniques who move their work into the modern position of contemporary design. The mission of the exhibition is to support and activate amateur textile art which does not forget our traditions and crafts and thus deserves its place in exhibition halls. This year, the amateur artists were inspired by eco-printing and traditional art. The winners of the first prize were for the first ever time students.
