Wirework artists from the Hozák family

In the last third of the 19th century, wire items which were more decorative and in more complicated shapes began to appear alongside the factory-based production. Initially, they were ornamented practical items, followed by objects for occasional use and finally purely artistic objects which were usually made to order and were intended for the town environment. Thus alongside traditional wire production, a new direction in the artistic working of wire began to take shape.
