The project, “Wool Design. Carpathians.” , is aimed at creating a platform for training in the use of wool and its heritage in the Carpathian region, which has a long and interesting tradition, in regards to the use of wool and wool products production. However, wool has become a forgotten material or unwanted by-product. The Carpathians project is trying to change this. The aim of the project is to protect the ancient techniques of working with wool, education in this area and present its new role, currently using the work of young designers from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, who work with this material.
