An exhibition project of Flowers for Slovakia association introduces its third travelling exhibition. This time, young Slovak talents designed a jewellery collection entitled Pass it on, interpreting, through contemporary design, stories about exceptional personalities in our history. Collections on display, initiated and founded by the above mentioned association, take inspiration from traditions and cultural heritage of Slovakia. In 2009, this project gained a status of a long-term, stable platform, nurturing Slovak designers at home and abroad alike and exhibiting their works. Selected students of design and related creative fields could now be given, thanks to Flowers for Slovakia, an opportunity to experience professional environment, to cooperate, during workshops, with established artists, under the leadership of experienced designers. Previous projects by Flowers for Slovakia comprised two exceptional exhibitions – designer collections of glass objects entitled Handle with Care and a furniture set including interior accessories entitled Lost & Found by Vitra. To date there have been 16 international exhibitions organised within this project, under the auspices of the President of the Slovak Republic and the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The project has so far been nominated for various awards, winning three distinguished international prizes.
