Dyeing using natural colourings has been undergoing a renaissance in recent time. Natural dyeing is a wonderful process which can achieve interesting results if we master the rules and processes which are closely linked to this technique. There is a wide choice of plants, several types of tree bark, many lichens, fungi and even insects which can be found in our country. The process used to dye plant or animal fibres in this way is more lengthy and time-consuming than the use of synthetic colours. However, the results of working with natural dyes are well worth the effort involved.
