Artigianato e Palazzo: art, craft and design in the heart of Renaissance Florence

Mya Javorková

For the 29th time, the Renaissance Corsini garden transformed itself over the course of three days in a place alive with art, craft and design. The garden was designed by 1620 by the architect Gherardo Silvani and is located within massive walls and a discreet gate right in the heart of Florence. The Artigianato e Palazzo (Crafts and palace) event was first held here in 1995 under the patronage of Neri Torrigiani and princess Giorgiana Corsini with the intention of bringing a new look at craftspeople and their work, and showing the technological quality and exception of crafts in a contemporary context.
