This year, too, ÚĽUV is continuing its planned concept of Open Studio activities, which aims to support the creation of a new range of products in the spirit of contemporary design with high-quality craft finishes. The most important part of this is preserving and developing craft skills, reflected in new practical objects and collections using primarily traditional craft techniques. However, we are not against making production more efficient by incorporating contemporary modern technologies. A significant aspect of this production is its utility and the use of natural materials. It takes into account, above all, the ecological perspective, although today it is not always possible to make our products exclusively from natural materials. Our article presents several examples of cooperation between designers and producers carried out in 2024.
