The traditional fibres of flax, hemp and nettle were the centre of attention for a two-day event packed with information, discussions and creative experiences and a varied programme. The objective of the “Traditional Fibres for a Contemporary World” event, held from September 18th to 19th in Bratislava, was to connect institutions and people who work with these natural materials from various points of view and as part of various professions. The aim was also to map out current innovative approaches using traditional technologies focusing on sustainability.
