When the School of Crafts of the Centre for Folk Art Production (ÚĽUV) was established in 1991, focusing on education in the field of traditional crafts by teaching production techniques, a question arose concerning what to do with artists who already master the basics of the craft but would like to continue to grow and support each other. Our Priadky bobbin lace club was founded on this basis in 2000 as part of the ÚĽUV Bratislava Regional Craft Centre. During its twenty-five years of existence, it has had 41 members, of which twenty-two are currently active members. The club has organised dozens of exhibitions and made a significant contribution to the popularisation of bobbin lace.
