Staré Hory bobbin lace is coming back to life

From July 1st to September 30th 2025, an exceptional exhibition was held in Banská Bystrica at the Regional Craft Centre of the Centre for Folk Art Production (RCR ÚĽUV), presenting the results of one year’s work of the members of the Riečička Bobbin Lace Club. The exhibition focuses on renewing and reinterpreting Staré Hory bobbin lace – a unique expression of folk art associated with the mining tradition of the village of Staré Hory (Banská Bystrica district).
