The name Centre for Folk Art Production (ÚĽUV, Ústředí lidové umělecké výroby in Czech) evokes in older people in Bohemia and Moravia many nostalgic memories. They are most often associated with original fabrics, ready-to-wear clothing or furniture made of natural materials, which were a high-quality and sought-after alternative under socialism to the serial production of national factories. However, it probably means nothing to the younger generations.
