Jana and Peter Machata with their artwork belong to well-known Slovak jewellery artists. Recently, this couple has shown their newest jewellery art in an interesting and non-traditional manner in the Orava Gallery in Dolný Kubín from the 6th of June till the 1st of August 2013 through the exhibit with the title Ready to wear. The artists asked their friends and acquaintances to choose their most favourite piece of jewellery together with clothes with which they wanted to wear it. This way the gallery presented an unusual installation of clothing, or parts of clothing with matching jewellery pieces. The Machatas consider jewellery to be a self-standing piece of art with its own inner aesthetic life which in this case serves to decorate modern cloths.
