Blue dyeing, as a way of artisans‘ small production businesses, used to be quite frequent in several Slovak regions in the past. For various reasons, only a small part of regional museums had built up specialised collections of it, others used to present it only alongside other crafts and occupations. More often, one could see thematic exhibitions devoted to folk blue printing, as well as a number of events (as part of the programme, presentation and promotion), in open air museums in Slovakia presenting and exhibiting parts of clothing and interior textiles made of blue print.
The Spiš Museum in Levoča and the Museum in Stará Ľubovňa have a rich representation of blue print in their collection funds. Also the Podtatranské Museum in Poprad, Central Slovakian Museum in Banská Bystrica, Orava Museum of P. O. Hviezdoslav in Dolný Kubín, Museum of Orava Village in Zuberec have paid special attention to blue printing. Collection items documenting the blue print technique are to be found also in the Kysuce Museum in Čadca, Homeland Museum in Považská Bystrica, Trenčín Museum in Trenčín. Special attention to the presentation of folk blue printing was paid in the Ethnographical Museum in Liptovský Hrádok.
