Long sheep hairs are typical for guba (an outer woollen clothing article). During weaving, the weft thread is passed through the warp thread (the long hairs) with the use of a shuttle. The result is a unique woven textile, boasting not only a distinguished look and feel but excellent thermal insulation properties as well. It was one of the reasons why, in the past, it was used as a blanket for both people and domestic animals. Having survived in our lands and culture till the present day, it is now being used as a rug or as a floor mat. Equally, it found use as a sofa spread, an armchair spread or as a wall tapestry to decorate the interior.
