In the last days of June, under the auspices of ÚĽUV, there was a meeting held in Košice for weavers, both male and female, craftsmen, both professional and amateur, ethnologists and textile designers – simply everyone passionate about producing hand-made textiles. At the International Weaving Symposium, the participants gave papers, discussed, and reciprocally enjoyed, each other’s weaving. In conclusion, they appreciated the significance of such a symposium, perceived as a platform to exchange information on the weaving craft viewed from all possible angels, through personal experience as well as through observation. Two days filled with lectures and discussions brought much inspiration to ÚĽUV in relation to possible events.
