Two years ago, we introduced to you, on the pages of our journal, the digital Jacquard loom. As the craft of weaving is the theme of this issue, we are happy to elaborate. Since 2014, students from the Department of Textiles at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (VŠVU) created works that had already been exhibited, even awarded. The digital loom named Thread Controller TC2 represents the state of the art within this technology. It is used for further development of woven textiles as well as for the production of textiles woven on the Jacquard loom. It enables the students from the Department of Textiles at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (VŠVU) to experiment with possibilities when planning and executing interior design projects.
