Straw decorations have been a part of Christmas trees in many households since ever and it´s no different today, eventhough the origin of these decorations or the technique of how they were made are often unknown to their users. We talked to Pavol Gregor from Prievidza who explained to us how the material for these decorations is prepared, and what techniques he uses for making them. He is the master of around eight techniques, and apart from around 290 sorts of Christmas decorations he also produces utility objects, Easter and harvest festival decorations.
