Since childhood, jeweller Henrieta Môcová longed to devote herself to jewellery-making. Despite not having studied to be a goldsmith, but a metalsmith (a roller of precious metals – someone who makes practical and decorative artistic items, or liturgical items, according to a design or historical examples), she decided to go her own way. Inspired by traditional folk ornamentation or embroidery patterns, she decorates her jewels with motifs which are intended to remind their wearers of the region which they come from. You can find out more about Henrieta Môcová’s traditionally untraditional jewellery in our interview.
