The topic of traditional ornament is currently experiencing a boom. The renowned ethnologist and long-standing member of the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava, Oľga Danglová, has devoted her new publication Ornament and object: decorative tradition in Slovakia (Ornament a predmet: dekoratívna tradícia na Slovensku) to the topic of decorativeness in traditional objects. It is being published in the Tradition Today series (Tradícia dnes), just like her previous two volumes on the subject of indigo print and embroidery. The publication has been published in a bilingual Slovak-English version.
