As boys in Divine, Peter and his brothers Vincent and Ľubomír used to make their own wooden toys – cars, cranes, weapons, and more, not only for themselves, but also for their friends. They never abandoned this material. In 1980, Ľubomír began working with ÚĽUV and their artist Janka Menyknová. The result was a very successful collection of wooden toys – animals and cottages – known as “Scenes from Village Life.” In 1987, Peter, a trained carpenter who did not pursue the craft professionally but worked as a driver in a clothing company, joined in. He worked for ÚĽUV alongside his job, and when the clothing company ceased operations in 1997, he devoted himself fully to traditional wooden production. In addition to toys (market stalls, farmyards, village houses), he expanded his range to include utility items and jewelry, such as jewelry boxes, combs, and pendants. He also collaborated with the ÚĽUV artist Stanislav Koreň, resulting in colorful wooden trays. Currently, he focuses mainly on jewelry, adding earrings, bracelets, and small souvenir items, which, according to him, sell the best. He remains loyal to toys (miniature furniture for girls and boys, wagons with a horse), but when comparing people’s interest in them now versus in the 80s, they are not as popular anymore.

For the production of utility items and jewelry, he uses wood from fruit trees for its color diversity and durability, while for toys, he prefers poplar for its lightweight. He tries to utilize every wood scrap, minimizing waste. When finishing, he focuses primarily on the human touch with the wood and the beauty of the wood itself – therefore, he only waxes the products. His philosophy is also reflected in the fact that he does not decorate his products. He prefers simple shapes, clean lines, and emphasizes quality of workmanship, evident in precise construction joints (in toys, boxes, etc.) and perfectly finished surfaces. In addition to ÚĽUV, his products are available in several stores, and he can also be found at various craft fairs both domestically and internationally, where he is a regular participant.

In 2008, he was awarded the title of master of folk art production in the field of wooden production.
