He has been dedicated to carving for more than 20 years, alongside other artistic interests. His significant tactile sense as a prerequisite for cutting, carving, or shaping forms has been inherited. From the first sculptures, reflecting a young desire for exoticism and admiration of African art, he soon moved on to his own themes from traditional village life, as he remembered them from childhood or from the stories of older people. He does not carve figurative subjects uniformly, but maintains their characteristic individual expression. In his work, he thus transcends the boundaries of traditional intuitive simplification and approaches free sculptural creation. He also works on sacred, especially biblical themes. In his recent works, he applies rather hints and pure poetry of wood shapes in his sculptures and reliefs. He gained knowledge and experience from the master of folk art production, J. Lenhart from Bojnice. He regularly participates in an event promoting folk crafts in Bojnice. He exhibited in Ružomberok and in the upper Nitra region.
