The relationship with wood was acquired from his skilled father, who was a carpenter. After gaining experience from the master Mr. Vanek, he gradually became independent and started making utility items decorated with shaped metal in his own self-equipped workshop. He collaborated long-term with the ÚĽUV (Center for Folk Art Production).
