He apprenticed under a clothier and wool processor under master J. Sivoš from Ratkova. From 1927, he started working independently. The focus of his work was in selecting and processing sheep’s wool for further production. He supplied manufacturers with a variety of materials. It was wool for warp, hair for felting, wool yarn for slippers knitted with wrist technique, combed and honeycomb wool for hand spinning, wool yarn for knitwear, and more. In 1984, he obtained a certificate of qualification as a master of folk art production in the field of cloth and wool processing, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Art Workers.
