His birthplace, the village of Brehy, was one of the leading centers of pottery production. The whole village was involved in pottery for several centuries and Brehy’s pottery products were sold throughout the Kingdom of Hungary. J. Brodziansky is a successor of the traditional pottery production. He started working in his father’s pottery workshop at the age of 12.

He actively began producing in 1921. In 1962, he established cooperation with the Folk Art Production Center. In the early years, he continued producing traditional milk jugs, pitchers, rattles, and clayware from his native village. Later, the products were of new shapes, but still retained traditional ornamental decoration.

In 1964, he was awarded the qualification of Master of Folk Art Production in the field of pottery, granted by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Art Production Workers.
