Handicrafts have always fascinated him and he learned to work with wood and make fujaras even during his studies. However, his priority became his family and work. In the corporate world, he was a consultant, a trainer in corporate culture, and launched a startup with presentation software while also running a tearoom. He had a good job, a wife, and children. But then a turning point came in his life – his wife tragically passed away and Marek was left alone to raise three children.

Years later, as the children grew older, he became more interested in ceramics together with his second wife, Petra. He first sat at the wheel in 2019 and immediately succumbed to the charm of making ceramics. He learned through tutorials and videos online, as well as from his own mistakes. The work fulfilled him and he gradually improved. He sold his first simple products (cups, bowls) on the side. The products sold well and he gained confidence that he could make a living from ceramics. He set up a workshop in the basement of his house in Bratislava and fully immersed himself in production.

Today, his range mainly consists of utilitarian products with simple rounded shapes thrown on the wheel and decorated with various colored glazes – from sets of cups and bowls to plates, teapots, jugs, and occasional vases. He uses various types of clay for production, usually stoneware, sometimes porcelain. He also organizes ceramics courses for the public in his workshop.
