Native from Žilina, grew up in Štiavnik. He is a graduate of SVT in Bratislava and CTU in Prague, specializing in aircraft engines. Under the influence of the Štiavnik priest Albín Blažek, he began to carve, focusing mainly on sacred motifs. His profession in woodcarving shows a tendency towards depicting detail.
