He has been in contact with clay since childhood in his father’s potter workshop. He trained as a construction locksmith. He actively started producing ceramics in 1972, and in 1978 he revived pottery production in Brehy.

He began producing traditional Brehy ceramics – pots, cups, milk jugs, butter churns, bowls, along with folk clay musical instruments. He revived the production of ceramic bells, bird figurines, and whistles. Ceramic bird figurines, with a hollow body that fills with water through the tail opening, produce a gurgling sound when blown. The whistles are shaped like nobleman’s whistles with an octave range principle and are named “shingles” based on their resemblance to roofing elements.

He also devotes himself to teaching activities in clubs at various schools for children, besides participating in various events where he presents pottery production and allows visitors to try their hand at wheel throwing. Every year at the Cultural and Educational Center “Včielka” in Púchov, he leads courses for children and adults. Working with clay fulfills him when he sees that he can bring joy to someone.
