She dedicated herself to various handcrafts from an early age. She mastered them through the study of literature and with her exceptional observational talent, she achieved high-quality results. This was also the case with her interest in learning to make dolls from corn husks. She started with simple figures that didn’t require intricate work with accessories. She began with a doll with a bucket, rake, and hoe. In 1986, she started collaborating with the ÚĽUV and began producing more complex assortment. She mastered the production of smaller and larger male and female figures, both standing and sitting. Her workshop now produces over 30 figurines representing various crafts and rural life.

Júlia Gabrišková enjoys working with youth, as well as educators, to whom she passes on her acquired knowledge and years of experience. She represented the ÚĽUV at various events at home and abroad: Master Days of the ÚĽUV, EĽRO in Kežmarok, Danube Spring and Ensemble Festival in Dunajská Streda, Senior Festival in Padány, and more.

In 2006, she received a certificate recognizing her as a master of folk art production in the field of corn husk manufacturing, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Qualifications of Folk Artworkers.
