She learned to embroider as a child from her mother and grandmother. She dedicated herself to embroidering based on old patterns and techniques from her native Záriečie. She mastered the traditional technique of counted embroidery to decorate women’s bonnets from the Záriečie region. In 1967, she started embroidering for the Centre for Folk Art Production. For the Centre for Folk Art Production, she created pattern books from Záriečie in pre-drawn embroidery on canvas and linen. In 1984, she obtained a qualification certificate as a master of folk art production in the field of embroidery awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Workers in Folk Art Production.
