Between 1973 and 1976, he completed his studies in artistic ceramics at a vocational school in Bratislava. He was greatly inspired by the master folk artist Rudolf Barčík, known for his artistic painting and innovative approach to creation. During his apprenticeship at Slovak folk majolica, he acquired the necessary knowledge and skills, which he continued to refine in his own work. His focus is on modeling and painting utility objects, using traditional Hutterite colors and techniques reminiscent of old masters. He received certification as a folk artisan in ceramics in 1986 from the Slovak Craft Association, recognizing his dedication to Hutterite art.
