As a child, she was inclined towards drawing, painting, and modeling, so the choice of the apprentice school of Slovak folk majolica in Modra was a logical step. After finishing school, she worked as a painter at the Modra plant of Slovak folk majolica, but the not very creative work environment led her to decide to leave this job immediately after 1989.

She has known Peter Lužák since their apprentice days, and they also worked together at the plant Slovak folk majolica. When he approached her in 1993 with the idea of ​​trying their hand at producing Hutterite ceramics together, she agreed. And they have been creating together to this day. In the beginning, people warned them that they might have trouble with Hutterite ceramics, as at that time Modra majolica was still selling very well. However, even the more complex Hutterite patterns did not deter buyers, and over the years of working together, this artistic duo has not yet faced a sales crisis.

They decide intuitively on the range of products they will produce. They started with classical Hutterite designs, known from museums, using five basic colors. Over time, they added a blue-white program, or a white-blue program, which also stems from the Hutterite tradition of products with a dark base and the application of blue and white patterns. This program was also successful and now forms the majority of their production. Both color variations of Hutterite faience have also been expanded into their own so-called dotted program, where they produce a less demanding range of utility items with a more minimalist decoration. The production of this type of products, although each one is an original piece, has been increasing for them year by year, pushing their own original work into the background. However, Tatiana Homolayová Hanzelová finds time to satisfy her passion, especially in painting traditional Hutterite patterns. After years of practice, she can already paint most of them from memory. Painting on ceramics is a game for her, she sees the patterns in a plastic, malleable way, and creates the final decors during the painting process. In addition to traditional patterns, she also enjoys inventing her own, always respecting the boundaries of tradition. Considering that there are no successors from the young generation in the ranks of Hutterite ceramics today, she sees preserving this tradition as a mission. Guided by a shared sense of responsibility with Peter Lužák, they aim to help pass on the old tradition to future generations.

In 2021, she was awarded the title of master of folk artistic production in the field of ceramic painting.

In recent years, she has also started creating paintings on glass, where her style carries a special fantasy.
