He belonged amongst the last furriers in Jelšava. He inherited the craft from his father. He was one of the most active furriers, able to weave, shear, and comb. His products excelled in technical processing and color coordination. He wove fur coats in natural colors with yawn weaving, later switching to double-sided colored fur. In 1965, he obtained a certificate recognizing him as a master of folk art production in the field of fur production, granted by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Art Workers.
