He was a trained economist. Besides his job, he devoted himself to his hobby of metalworking. He began cooperating with ÚĽUV in 1972. Initially, he reproduced Kokava style buckles in brass and alpacca. Later, he transferred the Kokava cut-out decoration to a collection of letter openers. We consider his wire work as completely independent. Based on photographic documentation he obtained from Budatín Castle, he started focusing on wire crafts. He was among the first artisans at ÚĽUV who excellently mastered the entire traditional wire craft production technology and created a collection of wire crafts with perfect surface finishes. (baskets, bowls, ironing board pads and containers, hangers, and spoon holders). In 1982, he obtained a qualification certificate as a master of folk art production in the field of metal and wire crafting, granted by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Art Production Workers.
