He was born in 1957 in Kolárovice, studied at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Bratislava, which he completed in 1976 as a sculptor. After finishing school, he worked for ten years at the Folk Art Cooperative – Sculptor in Rajec. In 1988, he went to work at Kinex Bytča as a grinder for family reasons. This craft has been his livelihood to this day, with sculpture remaining just a hobby. He is an active participant in creative symposia at home and abroad – in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland. His larger-than-life sculptures are on display in exhibitions in Plavecký Štvrtok (St. Peter), Bojnice (Count Pálfy), Záhorská Bystrica (Moses), Žywiec (St. Peter), and elsewhere. He is the founder of the Parish Gallery in Kolárovice, which consists of twenty sculptures, nine of which he created himself. He donated sculptures of St. Joseph and the Christ Child to the Museum of Folk Sculpture in Babín.
