You continue in your work as a successor in the tradition of an old pottery family. He started actively producing since 1922. Highly skilled in craftsmanship, he achieved a high level in small works as well as in larger ceramic pieces – pots and vases with a volume of 10-20 liters. He produced a wide range of traditional Pozdišov pottery. He excelled in masterful throwing on the potter’s wheel as well as in painting large vessels, bowls, and plates with scenes from nature and rural life. His favorite decorative motif was the “karička” motif (Karička is an eastern Slovak girls’ wheel dance.) This decoration actually originated based on J.Horová’s idea. Influenced by the success of the karička, Parikrupa himself drew inspiration from a variety of motifs such as spinning wheels, hemp soaking, fields with tractors, harvest festivals, women by the stream, mushroom picking in the forest, woodcutting, hunting and fishing motifs, selling pots at fairs, motifs of Jánošík, and the legendary tree of Slovak heritage. He raised his successors, sons Ján and Dušan. In 1959, he obtained a certificate recognizing him as a master of folk art pottery production, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Qualifications of Folk Art Workers.
