He enjoyed drawing from an early age. He came to the Slovak folk majolica in Modra in 1948. He received his apprentice certificate two years later from master I. Bizmajer. At that time, as the only painter in the Modra production cooperative, he painted vineyard figurative motifs on tiles and plates. He received several awards for his painting. In 1985, he won a gold medal for 3 painted blue decorated plates. His products were also presented at many international exhibitions (Hungary, Germany, Bulgaria). In later years, he modeled figurative motifs. In 1986, he received an award recognizing him as a master of folk art production in the field of ceramics – painting, which is granted by the Commission for assessing the professional competence of workers in folk art production.
