As a child, she learned to crochet for income, as well as for her own pleasure. She started with simple meter-long and round colored lace, later transitioning to more intricate motifs and lace patterns suited for traditional folk costumes. She began collaborating with the ÚĽUV in 1971. She crocheted saltwork motifs (pear, lantern, leaf, and half-pair). In addition to traditional motifs, she crocheted lace for economical tablecloths and blankets. In 1986, she obtained a certification as a master of folk arts and crafts in the field of crochet, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Arts and Crafts Workers.
