He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Bratislava, and currently works as a specialist in hygiene and waste management. Alongside his work, he dedicates himself to his hobbies, including undoubtedly wood. For several years, he has been engaging in a dialogue with wood, stone, and marble. He attentively perceives the surrounding world, absorbs stimuli, and projects them in his inner “cinema”. When the right moment comes, he retreats to the workshop in his parents’ house in Vrbovce, where his feelings resound in silence, which he transfers into sculptures and reliefs. In order to create, he needs a family environment, sunlight, space, and comfort. The themes of his works range from sacred motifs through African warriors, historical scenes to subjects related to nature. He draws inspiration from the period of settling our territory by the Slavs and the spread of Christianity. From these inspirations, he has embodied his vision of Saint Gorazd, King Svätopluk, and other figures from Slovak history. Through his sculptures of specific historical figures, whose portraits have not been preserved, based on written documents and folklore, he strives to emphasize in his elaborate processing the character traits that literary and oral sources highlight in these personalities.
