He came from Detva, where as an eleven-year-old he learned to sew fur coats from the domestic master P. Kamenský. He was active from 1924. He devoted his whole life to this craft. He mastered the demanding process of leather processing and dyeing, he knew how to create patterns, compositionally arrange and apply designs on leather. He perfectly mastered the technique of embroidery. He could cut out fur coats from memory without a cutting template. He mainly sewed fur coats from Detva, but he could also make fur coats from other regions of Slovakia. He started cooperating with the ULUV in 1963. In 1980, he was awarded the title of master of folk art production in the field of leather production, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Workers in Folk Art Production.
