In his sculptural work, he uses a simple formal, sometimes even starkly frontal stylization of figures. He devotes himself to sacred themes as well as to the theme of the folk environment, where he prominently utilizes stylization and abbreviation. Through gestures, hand positions, and body posture, he expresses the mood and emotions of the depicted figure. Some sculptures are patinated or colored on the surface in wood tones, or he uses both techniques along with a combination of unaltered wood, or the use of bark as a visual element of the sculpture.
