The apron was created by sewing together pieces of an old apron. The embroidered sections and bobbin lace were cut out from the original apron, then sewn onto and stitched into new cotton canvas. The embroidery features rows of French knots sewn with thicker white and yellow cotton thread. The apron cover is embroidered with crosses. The bobbin lace is also made from white and yellow cotton threads, with a hemp thread lace along the bottom edge. The ties of the apron are striped fabric ribbons.
