About product
Part of the two-piece bedspread. The base material is percale. The embroidered waistband is made on homemade linen fabric with white linen thread and beige silk. Plant motifs on the insert are made by the Žilina cutwork technique, smoothing and shaping, with the edge bordered by stitched lattice. This embroidery was not made in the area of Slovak Grob, but was bought from embroiderers (likely from Zliechovo or Čičmany). The gold-yellow embroidery on percale is sewn with silk. It is a stitched lattice, typical for this region. The lace on the lower edge and between the panels is filamentous (bought).
