The embroidery originates from the surroundings of Detva in the Podpolianska region. It was originally found on traditional clothing pieces. Typical is the embroidery technique called “crooked needle – chain stitch sewn with a crochet hook”. During embroidery, the fabric is stretched on a frame. This embroidery technique is unique in Slovakia.
She masters the embroidery technique with a hook-shaped needle at a high level – chain stitch sewn with a hook, which is typical for the Podpolian area.
