The characteristic feature of the Záhorie embroidery is the geometric ornament (diamonds, hearts, little stars) using cut-out technique. A common additional element embroidered with stem stitch are ram’s horns. The typical color of the embroidery is white, possibly a combination of white and red.
The cover is made of linen canvas using techniques such as counted thread and embroidered with crewel.
