The blanket is embroidered on linen canvas with a regular warp with seed beads. The ornamentation of the Horehronie embroidery is characterized by geometric motifs, in which squares embroidered with different colored threads dominate. New simpler and more complex embroidery techniques are applied. Plain and twisted cross-stitches, satin stitch, cutwork, and chain stitch are the basic techniques in Horehronie embroidery.
