The bonnet is made of 5 rectangles of factory canvas, sewn together with a connecting stitch. Three center rectangles are made of thinner canvas, while the outer ones are made of thicker canvas, to allow for embroidery based on thread count. The top part of the bonnet is gathered and sewn with a rectangle of embossed cardboard. The gathering is reinforced with embroidery. The embroidery on the front of the bonnet is stitched with cross stitches and complemented by sewn factory trim. The front edge is hemstitched. Wool yarn is used for the embroidery.
